St. Catharines Sports Hall of Fame Nominations

The St. Catharines Sports Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of athletes and volunteers who have contributed significantly to the development of sport in St. Catharines. We also recognize those who have excelled at the Provincial, National and International level in their sport.

Nominations received on or before Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. every year are considered for that year's Sports Hall of Fame committee deliberations. Nominations received on Sept. 2 or after every year are considered for the following year's Sports Hall of Fame committee deliberations. Nominations are available in the Athlete and Builder categories.

St. Catharines Sports Hall of Fame Induction Criteria

• Nominees must be born or raised in St. Catharines 
• Candidates will be considered eligible if they have significant residency in St. Catharines during their sporting career
• Candidates must have demonstrated superior athletic performance or contribution to their sport(s)
• Candidates for Athlete category must be retired from sport for a period of three years
• Candidates for Athlete category must have competed on a Provincial, National or International level
• Candidates for Builder category must be 50 years of age or older
• Candidates for Builder category can include but not exclusive to coaches, media, sponsors or administrators
