Flag Raising Request Form

To request a flag raising at City Hall, please complete this form. Please note that we appreciate receiving your request at least six weeks in advance of your celebration. Flag raisings are not civic endorsements and the City does not make proclamations. 

Prior to submitting your request, please review our Municipal and Community Flag Raising Policy to find out if your request is eligible: Municipal and Community Flag Raising Policy 

Please deliver your flag to the Mayor's office (3rd Floor, City Hall, 50 Church Street) the week before your flag raising. The Mayor's Office team will coordinate with you to arrange a time for you to pick it up after it has been displayed for its designated period.

Requesting a flag-raising through the Mayor's Office serves as an invitation for the Mayor and/or Councillors to be present at your event. Would you be interested in having the Mayor deliver greetings?
 
If the Mayor is unavailable to bring greetings or attend, would you like the Deputy Mayor or a City Councillor to represent him?
 
Would you like this to be forwarded to our local MP and MPP offices?
 
If you answered that you want the MP and MPP there, do you want them to bring greetings as well?
 
Are you interested in submitting your event to be included in the City of St. Catharines' Community Events Calendar?
 
By checking this box, you are agreeing that it is the responsibility of the individuals and/or organizations requesting a flag raising ceremony to invite the media, and provide an agenda and list of speakers to the Mayor's Office prior to the event.
