This application is to request a Seasonal Temporary Commercial Patio (STCPatio) permit to operate a temporary patio extension on privately owned property up to and including October 31, 2026.

The request for an STCPatio will be to serve patrons outdoors as an extension of existing service area, immediately adjacent to the business submitting this application.

Conditions of Approval and Inspection

Inspection will be completed once the patio is installed and before seasonal operation can begin. Temporary patio extensions will be inspected to ensure compliance with approved design and site plan. Should the inspection find the patio is not in compliance with the approved design, the applicant will be required to make the necessary changes to bring the patio into conformity. 

Until such time as compliance is achieved to the satisfaction of the City of St. Catharines, operation of the STCPatio will not be permitted.

All applicants must adhere to the STCPatio Guidelines and Requirements for patio operation in 2026. Please review in its entirety ahead of submitting an application and prepare the following documentation:

• Site Plan Sketch with checklist
• Copy of Business License in good standing

Based on individual STCPatio location:

• Copy of Liquor License (issued by the AGCO)

• Landowner Acknowledgement (if a tenant and not the building/property owner)
• Neighbouring Business Encroachment (if patio extends in front of neighbouring business not included on application)
