New driveway/access application

Please read the Zoning and General Information section carefully before proceeding with the application.

Zoning and general information

• Maximum front and/or exterior yard parking area coverage is 50%.
• Maximum front and/or exterior yard parking width is 7.5 metres or 50% of lot frontage, whichever is less.
• The parking area shall not exceed 20% of the total area.
• All curb cut, curb fill, culvert installation and culvert removal fees are in addition to the application fee.
• All fees are subject to change at any time.
• All work must be done by the City of St. Catharines.
• Proximity to hydro poles, streetlights, utility vaults, utility pedestals, fire hydrants, trees, intersections, etc. may affect the overall design and approval of the proposed driveway / access modification. Additional costs for the relocation of these items may apply and are at the discretion of the appropriate utility company or the City of St. Catharines.

For scenario 1 and scenario 2, please download and complete Figure 3.

Neatly outline your proposal on Figure 3. Please show the location and shape of the proposed driveway. You must include the proposed width of the driveway and the proposed width of the curb cut or culvert installation.

The locations of all hydro poles, streetlights, utility vaults, utility pedestals, fire hydrants, trees, etc. must be shown along with measurements of how close each would be to the proposed edge of driveway/curb cut.  All measurements must be provided in metres.
