Proposed Location

Provide the location where you are proposing to establish or re-open an outdoor rink below. The requested location must be located on City property. City staff will evaluate the proposed locations based on the following criteria:

reasonably flat surface
sufficient lighting
adequate parking
access for emergency vehicles

Community groups must supply their own water source; a grant of up to $1,000 is however available to assist with costs. City staff will review proposed locations for suitability.

By provision of the information and signatures below, the signatories agree with respect to the above mentioned rink, to:

Follow all City of St. Catharines’ instructions and procedures relative to safety.
Notify the City of St. Catharines if unable to continue the volunteer service.
Attend all orientation and / or training sessions offered.
Fulfill responsibilities regarding the outdoor community ice rink as outlined in the training manual provided.

Personal information collected on this application form will be used to assist in selecting volunteer groups to participate in the Community Outdoor Ice Rink Pilot Project. All information (excluding home addresses and telephone numbers) may be made available to the public. The City reserves the right to verify all information contained in submissions.
