Master Plumber / Plumbing Contractor Licence Application / Renewal

Personal information is protected under the following legislation: In accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.M.56, Section 28(2), this is to advise you that the personal information collected on this form will ONLY be used for the proper administration to process a business licence application.

Application Requirements

Master Plumber (Operator – person who performs the work)

Every applicant for a Master Plumber’s Licence or Renewal must provide:

• Copy of their Certificate of Qualification for the trade of plumber;
• Letter signed by the Plumbing Contractor for whom the applicant is acting as a Master Plumber, stating that the applicant is a full-time employee of the business and will be responsible for the plumbing work performed by the business (if applicable)

Master Plumber / Plumbing Contractor

Every applicant for a Master Plumber’s Licence or Renewal AND who also carries on business as a Plumbing Contractor must provide:

• Copy of their Certificate of Qualification for the trade of plumber
• Copy of the Master Business Licence and/or Articles of Incorporation for the company (new application only)

Plumbing Contractor (Owner of the company but does not act as a master plumber)

Every applicant for a Plumbing Contractor Licence or Renewal must provide:

• Copy of their Master Business Licence and/or Articles of Incorporation for the company (new application only)

Fees:

• New Licence (Master Plumber / Plumbing Contractor): $288.70
• Licence Renewal (Master Plumber / Plumbing Contractor): $263.05
• New Licence (Master Plumber Only): $235.70
• Licence Renewal (Master Plumber Only): $208.60

Note that any payment will need to be made after your application is has been processed.
